SNAKE POISONS

I have had occasion to prescribe this remedy for patients suffering from varicose veins. Once a male, age 32, came to my dispensary complaining he was suffering from varicose veins for about 2 years and that he tried many remedies prescribed by allopaths and Ayurvedists in vain. On examination I found the veins were severely engorged. They were bluish and so thick that they appeared like ropes.

He felt as if they would burst any moment. I gave him Hamamelis to be taken twice a day but he found no relief even after 3 days. When he was again interrogated on the fourth day, he expressed himself as feeling worse and very painful when he allowed the parts to hang down and he was obliged to elevate them for relief. On this symptom I prescribed Vipera 30 two doses a day and the next day he came considerably relieved and expressed much gratitude. He gradually improved on placebo. After 15 days another dose of Vipera 200 was given and he was completely relieved of the trouble in two months.
