WONDERS OF HOMOEOPATHY

Well, any neophyte homoeopath can easily see which drug picture I am arriving at. It is a perfect picture of Lachesis. Lachesis 200 one dose was given. Pt suffered no more from the attacks. He used to examine his urine every day and it always contained a trace of sugar. After Lachesis this sugar also disappeared. He has gone on two months leave and I have not yet heard anything from him.

Mr. K. was introduced to me as a diabetic patient. He came to me to get his blood sugar done. He used to get attacks of paralysis of the left side of his body and a sort of confused state of the mind. He was under Allopathic Treatment and yet had some faith in Homoeopathy because his attacks of Sciatica were cured by Homoeopathy years back. As he did not give any peculiar symptoms nor was he keen on Homoeopathic treatment I did not bother much to induce him to take my treatment.

His attacks of paralysis became more frequent. One of the eminent physicians was consulted who advised him to take insulin for his diabetes. He took it & suffered from hypoglycaemia. Another physician was called. He advised vitamin K because he thought he was getting haemorrhage in the brain. For confirmation of this opinion another Army specialist was called, who differed from vitamin K therapy and advised Heparin injections to prevent thrombosis of the vessels in the brain.

What with these differences of the opinions of eminent specialists or what with the ineffective treatment the patient decided to consult me.

I was called in at about 2 P.M. to review the case. The symptoms were as follows:.

1. Attacks of paralysis on the left side of the body.

2. Confused state of the mind.

3. Pt. Said he was Afraid to Sleep because he thought he got these attacks after sleep.

I inquired whether his previous attacks also were after sleep. It was found that his first attack was at about 10 P.M. when he had just slept, and later they used to be in the morning. On further inquiry it was learnt that his eyes were examined by the eye specialist recently and it was found that he had haemorrhage in the left retina.

He was a warm pt: Always wore his necktie loose and preferred open collar shirts.
