The words of Mr. Ghose were incredible when he related to me a case of Latent Cancer of Liver which was developed from Peaceful Death constant mis-use of sulphur 1000 for aphrodisiac actions; dying a peaceful death under Homoeo treatment.
His views were confirmed, later on, in my studies and personal experience.
About two years ago a vakil friend of mine compelled me to take up the case of a 4 days old male child suffering from tetanic convulsions. The child had high fever and convulsion. Symptoms led me to Bell 30, a single drop of which were put on his lips at about 9 p.m.
Next evening the vakil told me that half an hour after the administration of the dose relief was aparent. Fever began to abate slowly and convulsions stopped. It sucked a little milk and fell asleep at about 11 P.M. At about 4 A.M. she was awakened to suckle the child again. The child could not be awakened.
In July last I took up a case of advanced Infantile Liver. The child was below two years. He had enlarged liver and palpable spleen. He was voracious eater, had fever and used to get a dozen of stool daily.
Totality of symptoms indicated Phosphorus, which reduced diarrhoea and temperature. His excessive desire for food subsided. After two days fever came to normal and stools became dysenteric.
Before I was able to decide any other medicine, some one advised the parents to give a little juice of certain green herb very useful in dysentery. It was used and the fever shot up, cough was produced, diarrhoea ensued with more vigour.
I tried my best but failed to give much relief. If I was able to check diarrhoea, fever rose up and if fever was controlled diarrhoea became alarming. At last the fatal eve came. The child had no desire for any type of food, stools were checked. Fever began to come down from 102*. We were standing beside his bed when child breathed his last. It was a pieceful death without any agony or restlessness. The child winked his eyes looked at us, closed his eyes for ever.
Only 3 days ago, I witnessed another peaceful death of one year old child dying peacefully under Homoeo. treatment. The child had whooping cough on 27-11-47 at about 10 P.M. I was called to examine the child who had developed, suddenly, convulsions. I prescribed Bell 200 one dose and fomentation of chest and abdomen. There was no temperature. With in a few minutes convulsions stopped he seemed to be cured. He drank a small quantity of milk and ate a little Halwo (Karah Prasad) offered by his refugee father and fell asleep from which he was never awakened.
