THUJA. -On June 9, 1889, L. W-, age 6, was brought to my office with an ugly row of warts on lower lip. The mother took great pains to assure me she was not homoeopathic, but as her family destroyer could not cure the warts she brought her child to me, as I had told her sister they could be cured.
They had repeatedly been burned off, but returned more hideous each time. The child was large for her age, but the warts, coarse, dry hair always on end, sore eyes, itching scalp, constant catarrhal colds and irritable disposition showed too plainly her psoric constitution.
She got Thuja 200, six powders, dry, night and morning until used, and Sac. lac. for a month, with request to call again when medicine was all taken.
I saw nothing of her until September 19th, when her lips were entirely free from any trace of the warts.
All this is common place enough among homoeopathic physicians, and the only point I wish to call your attention to is the fact that her father, who for years had had large warts on both hands, was cured at the same time.
Did he get his Thuja from the lips of the child-which were not kissable-or through its action on her system after she was thoroughly affected by it, as she certainly was.
“This is a cure by induction,” says Dr. Swan.
THUJA. -D. W-, aged 3 came with her nurse on January 28th. Had been since birth under allopathic treatment. Was weak, puny, no appetite, constipated, cross, sleepless, sore eyed and all the rest of the psoric picture, including a large warn on right forefinger.
She got Nux, Ant. crud. and Sulphur, all of which did her much good. She was so much improved that her mother wrote me a note of thanks. The wart, however, remained as large and unsightly as ever, and I received a special message to “please cure it soon.” It had repeatedly been burned off, but of course returned.
April 7th I gave her one dose of Thuja cmm. (Swan), and in three weeks the wart had disappeared, and has not of course returned. The child is wonderfully better.
THUJA. -G. B-, age 14. Right hand covered with large warts. He had painted them with Nitric acid several times, but it only made then sore. I told him to keep his hand clean and come in a weak, which he did, and got Thuja 30th, several doses, dry. It is now six weeks since he received the Thuja, and but slight trace of the warts can be seen.
The three cases had several symptoms in common, viz.: weak eyes, irritable disposition and enlarged tonsils. The boy stutters. None of the warts bleed except when tortured by their family destroyer.
Lippe gives but thirty-one, six of them of the first degree, Thuja being one, and occurring, in the twenty-two divisions under warts, fourteen times.
Causticum occurs seven times.
Calcarea and Sulphur six each. Nitric acid five times and Belladonna once only, which hardly merits for it italics or else those of double size in inflamed warts.
Under the clinical observations on Thuja in Jahr’s New Manual, by Hempel, a great deal is said about warts of every from and variety, but under skin in the same article warts are not mentioned.
Certainly “Wart” is a keynote to Thuja, and my cases seem to show that it may be necessary to use several antipsoric remedies in order to cure all of the phases of psora in a given case. I shall, however, treat future cases with rather more deliberation than I have the above.
One’s observation is constantly challenged when trying to correctly apply the law.
In the second case I paid no attention to the wart, thinking it would pass away as the child improved, but it was not touched- so far as I could see-by any of the remedies given, although the symptoms for which they were given did disappear, one by one-as the warts did after Thuja.
Thuja seems for to be the chief of its group, in the removal of that psoric or sycotic symptom called warts.
BUTTERCUPS FOR WARTS BUTTERCUPS FOR WARTS. The popular use of buttercups for the cure of warts is interesting and important, as it shows that the instincts of the common people have true vision at their fountain-head, however much they may become perverted, and when a Hahnemann takes them in hand he can guide them into their proper channels....

WARTS CURED BY THUJA The cow was on board the vessel and the young medical man, knowing well the arguments that faith was the necessary accompaniment, if not the vital factor in Homoeopathy, thought this would be an excellent test as obviously the cow could not have faith.
