CHARACTERISTICS.
Catarrhal bronchitis with harassing cough, flushed cheeks, pain in the chest and other symptoms suggestive of early state of tuberculosis. Gastric and duodenal catarrh with or without jaundice. Membranous croup. Chronic nasal catarrh.
TOXIC EFFECTS
Irritation and constriction of the throat. Inflammation of the stomach with increased mucous secretion, accompanied with severe burning sensation. Great muscular prostration. Weak irregular heart.1.
DOSE
Tinctura sanguinariae, 2-30 m.
Acetum sanguinariae, 2-30 m.
Extractum sanguinariae fluidum, 1-15 m.
The first to the third decimal triturations will often be found most useful.
THERAPEUTIC USES.
Gastric and duodenal catarrh. Pyrosis, belching, lessened secretion of gastric juice.1. (One to three drop doses of the tincture).
Irritation and catarrhal inflammation of the throat and bronchi.1. (First to third decimal trituration).

Chronic nasal catarrh. Stinging, with irritative swelling of the mucous surfaces.1. (Locally, in form of powder, and internally).
