Characteristic Symptoms
Great melancholia, no wish to live, all seems gloomy. Heavy frontal headache, aggravated by walking and stooping. The tongue red at the tip, fissured in the middle, vesicles on the underside. Profuse watery stools (often white), expelled with great force and with violent colicky pains, at four in the morning (a.m.). Paralytic drawing in the right arm, especially in the wrist and going out in the finger-tips. These symptoms are confirmed in practice. Eczema, vesicular. The itching relieved by hot water. Erysipelatous swelling, the skin dark red. The skin affections are more severe than in Rhus tox.
Therapeutics
Erythema nodosum, with nightly itching and pains in the long bones (principal remedy). Red maculae, later blue, as after injury. Simple acute eczema.
