Diphtheria. Throat swollen inside and outside, the membrane horribly offensive. Uvula oedematous. Thin, puriform nasal discharge, pain extending to nares, larynx, and ears, with constant desire to swallow, although deglutition is painful. Diuresis, obstinate constipation and great weakness. Dark-coloured, offensive diarrhoea, and with vomiting fluids in the mouth returned by the nose. Has cured desperate cases after the best remedies have failed. Three grains of the remedy in one-half glass of water, a teaspoonful every hour. Externally it is recommended as a gargle. Strength: 20 centigram. to 250 gram of water (zviij), in ulcerated sore throat.
