Characteristic Symptoms
Pains aggravated by thinking of them. Sleep interrupted by sighings and cries like those of meningitis. Pupils unequally contracted. Scaphoid abdomen. Cutting in abdomen. Sore pain in apex of right lung, on breathing sensation, as if two ulcerated surfaces were in contact. Feeling in lungs as from a heavy cold, as if a weight rested on chest, preventing free expansion. Rheumatic pain in right arm, aggravated by using it.
Therapeutics
Recommended internally in meningitis, also the tuberculous form. Its especial use is locally. In wounds and ulcerations of the skin. Syphilitic ulcers especially fetid. Pruritus vulvae and acrid ulcers of the uterus. Ulcus penis (chancroid) and especially phagedenic.
Dr. Oscar Hansen, M.D., from Denmark, was a corresponding member of the British Homeopathic Society and the American Institute of Homeopathy. His book 'Textbook of Materia Medica and Therapeutics of Rare Homeopathic Remedies' was published in 1899.
