      (Punica granatum).

Characteristic Symptoms

      Salivation, watery. Nausea with salivation, frequent spitting, pain in stomach and abdomen, ineffectual urging to stool, sickly look, and ill-humour. Itching in anus, frequently during the day, with tickling. Oppression in chest, with sighing. Bruised pain in and between shoulders, as after a heavy load; even the clothing is oppressive. Itching in palms, with biting sensation in various places on face and whole body, as if pimples would break out. Numerous and varied dreams, which cannot be remembered in the morning.

Therapeutics

      Jaundiced complexion, with bloated abdomen, eructations of watery fluid and vomiting, vertigo, waving before eyes, large pupils, feeling as if something moving in the stomach, palpitation, faintness. (Gelsem). Kafka records a case of salivation cured with Granatum.

Dr. Oscar Hansen, M.D., from Denmark, was a corresponding member of the British Homeopathic Society and the American Institute of Homeopathy. His book 'Textbook of Materia Medica and Therapeutics of Rare Homeopathic Remedies' was published in 1899.
