When lifting a considerable weight she suddenly felt betwixt the scapulae, more towards the left, as if sprained; if she then moves the least, or draws her breath, or yawns, she gets the most violent sharp knife-stabs – she can more easily bend forward, but on bending backward she feels intolerable pains; pressing on the part produces no change.
