ROBINIA symptoms of the homeopathy remedy from Plain Talks on Materia Medica with Comparisons by W.I. Pierce. What ROBINIA can be used for? Indications and personality of ROBINIA…

ROBINIA PSEUD-ACACIA-FALSE OR BASTARD ACACIA-LOCUST TREE.

Introduction

Robinia was named by Linnaeus after jean Robin, herbalist to Henry IV of France. The true acacia is th Egyptian tree, Acacia Arabica.

Robinia, the common locust tree of the Unite States, was first proved, in a fragmentary was, by Dr. But. Out tincture is prepared front he fresh bark of young swing.

Symptoms

“Robinia produces pre-eminently an acid condition of the secretion” (Hale) (178). It is useful in acid dyspepsia (178), with q constant weight in the stomach (179), eructations of sour liquid (178) and sometimes with vomiting. the eructations and vomits are intensely sour, so sour that they wet the teeth on edge. and even the breath smells sore. It is of value in sick headache when associated with this acidity of the stomach.

The most prominent features of he remedy, next to soreness, is a sensation of burning in the stomach (178) and burning between the shoulder-blades (168).

We may have in the indigestion calling for the remedy lancinating pains extending to the chest (180) or to the top of the shoulder-blade (180).

We often have a constant squeezing pain after eating (177) and inability to eat more than once a day on account of the distress which food causes. It has relieved the pain of cancer of the stomach (178) when associated with acid eructations and vomiting.

I use Robinia in the tincture.
