GLACIAL PHOSPHORIC ACID.
Symptoms
It produces nervous prostration and debility; an atonic condition of the gastro-intestinal tract and bone affections (D.).
Best suited to persons of originally strong constitutions, who have become debilitated by loss of vital fluids; sexual excesses. (China), violent acute diseases (Calcarea phos., Psorinum, Selenium), chagrin, or a long succession of moral emotions, as grief, care, disappointed affection (A.).
Also useful in diseases, of children and young people who grow too rapidly (Calcarea for those who grow too fat ) (A.).
Pale, sickly complexion (Ferrum, Pulsatilla, Sepia) (A.).
Eyes sunken and surrounded by blue margins (Cina., Staphysagria) (A.).
Eyes like glass, without lustre (Lycopodium)
Chronic effects of grief, hair turns gray; hopeless, haggard look (N.).
GROWS TOO FAST AND TOO TALL (N.).
Palpitation in young persons growing too fast, after onanism (Phosphorus) (N.).
Great physical and mental weakness from ovarian diseases or sexual excesses. (N.),
Great debility with perspiration during the day (not so marked as Aconite, however.).
Nervous debility arising from continued grief or overexertion of mind (D.).
Debility from loss of fluids, without pain, or only with burning (Phosphorus)
Pain in the back and limbs as if beaten (A.).
Soreness in the limbs, as from rowing especially in the morning.
FORMICATION (Agaricus, Alumina, Bar-C., Carbon sulph., Cocc., Ferrum, Lycopodium, Natrum muriaticum, Nux vomica, Phosphorus, Rhododendron, Rhus-t., Secale, Sulphur, Tarent.)
Burning of the lower half of the body; the limbs feeling cold.
The pains are only severe during rest, relieved by motion (Rhus- T.) and the nightly pains from pressure ( Rhus toxicodendron
Pains, as from a knife, scraping the periosteum.
Inflammation of the bones, with burning at night.
Swelling of the bones (Calcarea phos., Mercurius, Sil)
Offensive caries of the osseous structures (Asafoetida, Aurum, Calc- F.).
Bruised feeling in the muscles (Arnica, Bryonia, Cimic.) and burning in the spine (Phosphorus) (D.).
Patient trembles, legs weak; stumbles easily or makes missteps (Natrum muriaticum) (A.)
Neurosis in stump after amputations (Cepa., Hypericum) (A.).
CLAMMY, STICKY TONGUE ( Pulsatilla) (Ra.).
Ulceration of the soft palate (Aurum, Cinnb., Kali bichromicum, Lachesis, Lycopodium, Mercurius, Merc-C., Acid nitricum, Phosphorus, Sanicula, silicea).
Mercurial syphilitic ulceration of the lips, gums and soft palate, with swelling of the bones (Hm.).
Bread tastes bitter ( Asafoetida, Calcarea phos., China, Chin-S., Digitalis, Ferrum, MErc., Nux vomica, Phosphorus, Pulsatilla) (G.).
Gluey matter on the tongue, in choleraic diseases (Pulsatilla) (G.).
At night he bites his tongue involuntarily.
Useful in typhus or typhoid fever (Baptisia, Hyoscyamus, Kali-P., Lachesis, Nux vomica, Opium, Rhus-t.)
Meteoristic distension of the abdomen, with rumbling and gurgling (Carbo vegetabilis, Lycopodium, Nat-S., Nux-M., Pulsatilla) (N.).
Cerebral typhoid or typhus; complete apathy and stupor; takes no notice, “lies like a log” (Carbo vegetabilis). utterly regardless of surrounding (A.).
Aversion to acids (Abies-C., Belladonna,Cocc., Ferrum, Ferr-M., Ignatia, nux-V., Sabad., Sulphur) (K.).
Desire for pungent things (Arsenicum, Ast-R., Cist., Fluor-Ac., Hepar, Lac-C., Natrum phos., Sanguinaria) (K.),
Intestinal haemorrhage: blood dark (Hamamelis) (A.).
Diarrhoea after fright (Aconite, Argentum nitricum, Gelsemium, Ignatia, Kali-P., Opium, Phosphorus, Pulsatilla, Veratrum) (K.).
Diarrhoea from taking acids (Aloe., Ant-C., Bromium, Coloc., Lachesis, Nux vomica, Sulphur) (A.).
Involuntary stools with passage of flatus (Aloe., Nat-S., Sulphur) (A.).
