COMMON NAME:

      CHLORIDE OF MAGNESIA.

Symptoms

      It is useful in women and children; in hysteria, scrofula and liver affections (D.).

Great tendency of the head to sweat (Calcarea, Sanicula, Silicea,) (A.).

Aptness to take cold (Calcarea phos., Hepar, Kali carb., Psorinum, Silicea, Sulphur, Tuberculinum() (G.).

Much weakness of the limbs (Gelsemium, Kali-P., Pic-Ac., Zincum met.) (G.).

Swelling of the glands (Bromium, Carb-An., Iodium, Mercurius, Silicea).

Blood boils (Arnica, Hepar, Lachesis).

Great sensitiveness to noise (Ignatia, Nux vomica, Theridion) (A.).

Enlargement of the liver; pains worse from touch or from lying on the right side (D.).

Hyperaemia of the liver with constipation (Bryonia, Chelidonium, Sepia, Sulphur) (Bl.).

Pressing pain in the liver, when walking and touching it (A.).

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania.
