COMMON NAME:

      IPECAC.

Symptoms

      Adapted to cases where the gastric symptoms predominate (Ant-c., Kali-m., Nux- V., Pulsatilla, Sepia) (A.).

Relieves the exhaustion following bleeding from the orifices of the body (Carb- V., China, Ferrum, Kali-P., Secale)

Tetanic spasms (Belladonna, Cicuta, Cuprum, Nux vomica, Opium, Strych., Veratrum).

Spasmodic oppression of the chest after taking cold (Ant-T., Phosphorus, Stramonium)

Whooping cough (Ant-T., Cina., Cuprum, Drosera, Kali carb., Meph., Pulsatilla, Veratrum)

CONVULSIVE COUGH; THE CHILD STIFFENS AND BECOMES PALE OR BLUE AND LOSES ITS BREATH; GREAT NAUSEA AND RELIEF FROM VOMITING (D).

A sensation in the joints as if they had gone to sleep, with tingling of the same.

Tearing in the limbs when going to sleep.

Haemorrhages (active) from all orifices, profuse, bright red ( Millefolium, Phos,). (N.).

Haemoptysis: the blood is bright red and comes in gushes, with nausea and gagging (D).

The chest seems full of phlegm, but does not yield to coughing (Ant-T).

AGGRAVATION :

      From motion; in winter and dry weather; in warm moist, south winds; from the slightest motion; from stooping; and over-eating.

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania. Besides some essays and treatises from the French, German, and Italian which became standards, Lippe was the author of:
