COMMON NAME:

      SULPHIDE OF ANTIMONY.

Symptoms

      For children and young people. inclined to grow fat (Calcarea, Graphites), for the extremes of life (Ant-T., Lycopodium, Opium, Silicea) (A.).,SENTIMENTAL MOOD IN THE MOONLIGHT, PARTICULARLY ECSTATIC LOVE (N.).

Gastric derangement, with tongue coated thickly white, accompanying different complaints, such as eruptive fevers, rheumatism, gout, hydrocephalus, etc. (N.).

AVERSION TO BE LOOKED AT (Ant-T., Arsenicum, Chamomilla, China, Cina., Iodium, Magnesia carb., Nat- M., Nux vomica, Rhus toxicodendron, Stramonium, Sulphur). AND TO BE TOUCHED (Aconite, Ant-T., Arsenicum, Belladonna, Bryonia, Chamomilla, China, Cina., Coffea, Kali carb., Kali-I., Lachesis, Medorrhinum, Nux vomica, Silicea, Stramonium, tarent-C., Thuja, Veratrum).

He is much concerned about his fate.

Headache: after river bathing; from taking cold; alcoholic drinks; deranged digestion, acids fat, fruit; suppressed eruption (A.).

Great sensitiveness during the day; can hardly rise in the morning-so sleepy (G.).

When the symptoms reappear they change their locality, or go from one side of the body to the other.

ALTERNATE DIARRHOEA AND CONSTIPATION (Aloe, Nux vomica, Podophyllum, Sulphur, Tuberculinum). (N.).

Diarrhoea at night, with great thirst for cold water (Diarrhoea worse during night, with little or no thirst- Pulsatilla). (Bt.).

STOOLS OFTEN LIQUID, CONTAINING PORTIONS OF SOLID MATTER (SOMETIMES INVOLUNTARY, IN OLD PEOPLE) (N.).

Hard and loose stools, with nausea (N.).

Much mucus secretion from the anus, staining the linen, with burning, tingling and itching (Paeon).

Redness and inflammation of the lids; itching in canth; chronic blepharitis, of cross children (Alumina, Argentum nitricum, Graphites, Sulphur). (N.).

Much rumbling in the abdomen (Carbo vegetabilis, Crot-T., LYc., Podophyllum, Sulphur) (C.).

Mucus piles (Aloe, Kali bichromicum, Mercurius, Acid nitricum, Sulph) (C.).

Itching of the anus (Calcarea, Cina., Nux vomica, Sepia, Sulphur) (C.).

Burning in the urethra, during urination (Aconite, Cantharis, Natrum muriaticum, Sulphur). (C.).

Loss of voice, from becoming over-heated (A.).

LOOKING INTO THE FIRE INCREASES THE COUGH (N.).

The irritation to cough is felt in the abdomen (N.).

Cough after rising in the morning, in paroxysms; as if arising from the abdomen; the first paroxysm always most severe; the subsequent ones weaker and weaker, until the last only resemble a hacking (C.).

Tenderness over the ovarian region, with nausea, vomiting and white tongue (N.).

Solid lumps in a watery leucorrhoea, which sometimes causes a smarting down the thighs (G.).

AGGRAVATION:

      From drinking sour wine; in the heat of the sun; after eating (pork); at night; after bathing; from extremes of cold or heat; and from acids.

AMELIORATION:

      During rest; in the open air; and after a warm bath.

RELATIONSHIP:

      Similar to: Bryonia, Ipecac., Kali-M., Lycopodium, Pulsatilla, and Sepia in gastric complaints. Follows well after Ant-C., Mercurius, Pulsatilla, and Sulph.Complementary: Squil.

Adolph Lippe
Adolph Lippe (born near Goerlitz, Prussia, 11 May 1812; died in Philadelphia, 23 January 1888) was a homeopathic physician who worked in the United States. Adolph got a legal education at Berlin. After completing his legal studies, Lippe became interested in homeopathy, and emigrated to the United States in 1837 to further his study. In 1838, he enrolled in the North American Academy of Homeopathy at Allentown, Pennsylvania, from where he graduated in 1841. He settled in Philadelphia, where from 1863 until 1868 he was professor of materia medica in the Homeopathic College of Pennsylvania. Besides some essays and treatises from the French, German, and Italian which became standards, Lippe was the author of:
