      The drug acts especially on the venous system.

General Symptoms.

      Great lassitude and feeling of weariness, lowness of spirits, restless sleep. Bursting headache, ringing in the ears.

Painful and bleeding haemorrhoids, varicose veins on the legs.

Special Symptoms.

      Menstruation of dark coloured blood, very profuse; vicarious menstruation from nose or stomach.

Profuse metrorrhagia with severe pains in the abdomen.

Profuse leucorrhoea with great relaxation of the vaginal walls. Acute inflammation of the vagina and ovaries, accompanied with much swelling and tenderness and agonizing pain in the womb.
