COLLEGE DEMANDS

He said the British rulers of India did not recognize this system of medicine because they wanted to sell their own medicines in this country. He also referred to the non – cooperation movement started by him in Bengal in 1921, which resulted in the opening of the homoeopathic college in Calcutta.

Mr. Chattopadhyaya also called upon the Government to help the homoeopathic college so that it could help to introduce the homoeopathic system of treatment in the country as widely as possible.

The Principal and the Vice – President of the College Union also invited the attention of the Health Minister to the “urgent needs and requirements” of their institution and also called upon the Minister for help in the construction of a building and the procuring of equipment and demanding the recognition of the institution and its degrees.
