Calcarea-fluor [Calc-f]

Varicose veins and their ulceration; vascular tumors with dilated blood vessels.

Carbo-veg [Carb-v]

Venosity with offensive, excoriating discharge, excoriations superficial and irregular in outline; inflammations sluggish, tending to suppuration or gangrene, with burning pain, great weakness and collapse; gastric disturbances with accumulation and passage of offensive flatus; varicose veins of genitals, with blueness and burning, bluish tumors (Carb. an., if they be indurated); ulcers, fistulae, vaginal discharges excoriating, thin and ichorous.

Ferrum-phos [Ferr-p]

Varices and haemorrhoids in young people, costiveness, stool hard and difficult, followed by backache, throbbing pains.

Fluoric-acid [Fl-ac]

Varicose veins; little blue collections of veins in small spots; on legs to ulceration; flat naevus.

Hamamelis [Ham]

Enlarged veins with SORENESS OF AFFECTED PARTS, especially during pregnancy; piles burning and bleeding with weakness and soreness of back, as if it would break. (Arnica, bruised feeling; Lachesis, sensitiveness; Apis, stinging soreness.)

Lycopodium [Lyc]

Swelling and enlargement of the veins, particularly those with are more or less imperfectly supplied with valves, as in legs, particularly the right one; varices of genital organs, of labia during pregnancy, often of hepatic origin; naevi; erectile tumors.

Natrum-sulph [Nat-s]

Sycosis; malaria, affections of spleen and liver, (<) in rainy, wet weather; hepatic engorgement, humid asthma.

Pulsatilla [Puls]

Disturbance of venous circulation; varicose veins in legs and about testicle of bluish hue, with soreness and stinging pains; passive haemorrhages.

Samuel Lilienthal
Dr. Samuel Lilienthal (1815-1891) was from Germany, and became a pioneer homeopath in America. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Munich in 1838. After he moved to the United States, he was hired as Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York College for Women, and also as Professor of Mental and Nervous Diseases at the New York Homeopathic College.
Dr. Samuel Lilienthal was the author of many great books including “Homeopathic Therapeutics”. For many years, with the support of Dr. Constantine Hering, he was the editor of the North American Journal of Homeopathy. Dr. Lilienthal passed away on February 2nd 1891 in San Francisco.
