Threatening abortion with UNCEASING LOQUACITY, she talks, prays, sings, constantly uttering something in this line; many hallucinations.

Promotes expulsion of moles or blighted conceptions and CURES THE PREDISPOSITION TO ABORT in future pregnancies.

Profuse flooding, bright-red, when sacro-iliac synchondroses feel as failing apart, wants to be bound tightly; third month.

Ustilago-mayd [Ust]

Passive haemorrhage from retention of secundines after miscarriage, the blood coming away in lumps; FLOODING FOR DAYS AND WEEKS; uterus enlarged, cervix tumefied or dilated; bearing- down, as if everything would come through.

Veratrum-alb [Verat]

Abortion threatened; pains with cold sweat, nausea, vomiting; exhausting diarrhoea.

Viburnum-op [Vib]

Threatened miscarriage, pains begin in back, come around either side of the hypogastrium and culminate in intense squeezing, cramping and bearing down, going down into the thighs; FREQUENT AND VERY EARLY MISCARRIAGES, SO THAT THE OVUM IS EXPELLED AT EVERY MENSTRUAL PERIOD, thus causing sterility.

Viburnum-prun [Vib-p]

Uterine pains during gestation with strong bearing down, thus threatening to rupture the membranes and produce miscarriage.

Zincum [Zinc]

Fidgetiness and restlessness of feet and legs attend abortion.

Samuel Lilienthal
Dr. Samuel Lilienthal (1815-1891) was from Germany, and became a pioneer homeopath in America. He received his Doctor of Medicine Degree from the University of Munich in 1838. After he moved to the United States, he was hired as Professor of Clinical Medicine at New York College for Women, and also as Professor of Mental and Nervous Diseases at the New York Homeopathic College.
Dr. Samuel Lilienthal was the author of many great books including “Homeopathic Therapeutics”. For many years, with the support of Dr. Constantine Hering, he was the editor of the North American Journal of Homeopathy. Dr. Lilienthal passed away on February 2nd 1891 in San Francisco.
