The first doctor I had as a child was a homoeopath in Dublin, fifty-five years ago, and I have always believed in Homoeopathy, but unfortunately never tried to study it until lately, though I have had Dr. Ruddocks book for the past twelve years, and remember curing myself of pneumonia with Aconite and Bryonia, and of a very bad attack of sciatica with the same remedies taken alternatively every hour for two days.

DEAR MR. BARKER, – Your magazine is delightful reading, and thanks to it, I have been able to help several people. One case of eczema has been quite cured by Graphites.

Another cure that has been most successful is that of piles with Chamomile. I pick the weed, put a double handful in a breakfast cup of milk, reduce by boiling to half-a-cup, strain and drink, fasting, for 21 days, without interval. The last case of piles cured by this means was one of such long standing that the doctor said could only be helped by an operation.

Another case that will interest you. One number of “HEAL THYSELF” mentioned Psorinum for neuritis. A road man here lost the use of one finger, then it spread to his whole arm, and the shoulder became so painful that he could not sleep. His wife came and asked if I could do anything. We live by the sea. For first prescription I got her to boil potatoes in sea water, and give the shoulder a good rubbing with this while hot; and I gave him twelve Psorinum pilules 30x, to be taken two at a time, morning, mid-day and evening for two days.

This with the rubbing took away the pain and numbness. Six weeks later the man told me, he did not like to say so but her had never got back the use of the original bad finger: so I got him a bottle of Psorinum. He took the pilules three times a day for the first fortnight, twice for the next and three for the third, and the finger is now all right.

Thanks to following the treatment directions in “HEAL THYSELF,” I cured a very bad whitlow in ten days.
