Extremities
Trembling. Cracking in joints on motion. Bruised feeling, (<) knees, also when sitting. Pain in fingers and toes waking him and obliging scratching, which caused burning. Drawing through all, with sensation as if one were paralyzed; painful D., with heaviness of feet so that walking was difficult; painful, in middle of bones, (<) lower, causing stretching, (>) rest, and heaviness and stiffness on motion, (<) joints. Upper Extremities
Pain from r. shoulder into chest, as if circulation were stopped by a bandage, all day, (<) cold and in open air, sometimes the pain is in l. shoulder. Arms, conclusions; r, suddenly and painfully jerked upward; stretching; trembling, and of hands. Upper arm, sticking in muscles of l. during rest; intermittent pinching in flesh in middle of inner side of r.; aching in muscles on moving arm. Elbow, jerking; painful drawing in r. Forearm, sticking outward in muscles of l., (>) motion; aching below elbow on bending arm; aching in muscles near r. wrist during motion; jerking pain on inner side, (<) towards hands. Pain in r. wrist, (<) motion.
Hand. Trembling of r. when writing; of l. as after apoplexy, when lifting or holding anything. Cramp or r., (<) fingers, so that had is stiff, fingers crooked and nothing can be held; sudden C. in r., he cannot grasp anything. Sticking in r. Beating tearing internally in l., on side of little fingers. Dryness.
Fingers. Cramplike contraction of l. little and ring during rest. Sticking in r. index; burning, in tips of l., then heat, the rest of the hand being cold; tingling, in r. thumb towards index when writing. Jerking darting in r. thumb, (<) grasping it. Tearing in middle; itching, in l. ring. Pain in l. index, (>) motion; beating P. in bone of r. middle. Paralytic drawing, painful rigidity of l. thumb and index.
Lower Extremities
Staggering, afterwards movements more graceful than ever.
Thigh. Stinging in both; intermittent, in muscles of r. when sitting; drawing; intermittent jerking, in surface or r. near genitals. Pain in l. hip when sitting; bruised, in anterior muscles of T. when walking, (<) touch; as if they had been compressed, (>) stretching limbs, (<) motion, (>) continuing to move; drawing, in r. T. and leg. Painful pressure in r. hip-joint, (<) lying upon it.
Knee. Sticking in r.; in outer part of l. when sitting. Tearing in r. on every step. Drawing in outer side of l. with pressure. Weakness.
Pinching along r. fibula when walking, with pressure. Tearing- tensive pain in calves after midnight, (>) morning after rising. Tension in r. calf when walking. Weariness of legs. Swelling of feet, (<) morning; S. of feet, with pain on walking. Painful pressure in l. sole when standing. Tension of feet. Heaviness of F. Pricklings in toes as if asleep.
Skin
Yellow spots on fingers. Redness of face and hands; of one hand, with red spots upon it; in an elevated streak transversely across l. forearm; in spots on hands, (<) l.; in spots on l. arm, causing heat; in spots and streaks, (<) cold; in points on abdomen, hands and chest, (<) open air. Erysipelatous inflammation on r. tibia, with burning pain. Dryness hands in forenoon, (>) afternoon, with roughness. Desquamation on sides of finger-nails. Pimples behinds r. ear; burning itching, on forearms. White blister with red areola and burning pain, on forepart of l. knee.
Prickling on forehead when becoming warm and ascending stairs rapidly. Burning crawling over brow. Itching waking him after midnight; at night in bed, scratching causes burning; of hands and feet; between r. finger at night in bed; on l. cheek, with specks like herpes on face.
Clinical Measles, with violent sneezing, headache, sticking in the chest.
Sleep
Constant necessity to stretch, with cracking in shoulders and back. Weak yawning, with lachrymation. Sleepiness; all day, eyes constantly closed. Sleep as soon as she sits down; S. in afternoon, and peevishness on being disturbed from his sleep. Very sound, without dreams.
Sleeplessness in evening from a crowd of ideas. Restless night, with pain in r. thigh and r. upper arm; R. sleep and much dreaming; R. unrefreshing sleep. Starting up in fright from sleep in morning. In evening in bed when half dreaming, strange thoughts as if they were separated from him and more important than he and he could not drive them away. Dreams confused; and unremembered, disturbing sleep; vivid D. about helping people and making them glad; lascivious, in morning, with scanty emission and relaxed penis, he is conscious of dreaming and of an emission, then painful erection and lassitude, feels easier in open air.
Fever
Chilliness; all day; at 5 P.M., coldness over back as if dashed with cold water, chattering of teeth, the chill (>) only warm stove, the general warmth and sweat, (<) forehead, lower limbs simply warm, in night sticking in chest and cough; at 9.30 P.M., so that he went to bed, then shaking chill, later alternated heat and coldness, then oppression with sweat and chilliness; sensitive to cold; with gooseskin and moderate thirst; then warmth and sensation as if creeping would set in, (<) thighs; internal, with internal heat of head; general, with shuddering over back; alternating with flashes of heat all day, (<) forenoon; shaking, waking him at 1 P.M., he feels warm, with prickling in forehead. Heat, with redness of face and heat in forehead, without thirst; H., especially internally, at night and in morning on rising, only hands, forehead, lips and cheeks felt hot, hands dry and rough, mouth dry and sticky in morning, moderate thirst, desire for juicy food; in flushes, with redness of face; fibril condition, sick feeling, restless anxiety, easy starting, short, hot breath, trembling, organs of blood, eyes weak and unsteady, irresistible sleepiness, yawning, shivering, nausea. Heat in various parts of skin, (<) face, (<) stooping, (>) washing with cold water, with pain, later tension, (<) l. side of face. Burning in l. temple and r. ear, without redness; corrosive burning point on vertex; internal heat in head and face as from wine; in face after warm drinks; external, in with redness; in face in flushes, with redness of cheeks; here and there in face towards evening, with stinging itching; burning in knees.
Sweat after midnight; S. on soles; on head and face, which were hot to touch, while rest to body was cold; on chest and in axilla towards evening after walking, with itching about nipple; cold, on forehead.
Clinical It has used for intermittent fever, which recurs at the same hour, chills in in evening, commencing in extremities, running up the body; heat in head and face, interrupted by chills, sweat commencing during the fever; hot sweat on the face.
