     Partridge Berry. Rubicacea.

     A small trailing evergreen (not to be confounded with gaultheria), bearing a scarlet berry ; common throughout the United States.

     The tincture is prepared from the fresh plant.

     Provings by Duncan (U. S. M. and S. J., vol. 1, p. 252) and Hale (New Remedies, 2d ed., p. 714).

URINARY ORGANS.


Increased quantity of urine, specific gravity as high as 1040, reaction acid.
Urging to urinate ; urine high colored ; white sediment.
Dull aching pain over region of kidneys.
Swollen and irritated condition of urethra and neck of bladder.
Catarrh of bladder, especially in women.
Dysuria accompanying uterine complaints.

Engorged uterus ; hemorrhage, bright in color, associated with dysuria.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
