NATRUM MURIATICUM

All Natrum mur. patients suffer from very irritating skin eruptions. It may be nothing more than an urticaria, or it may go onto a definite vesicular eruption. The eruption may occurs on any part of the body. There is no doubt that the urticarial ones are associated with digestive upsets while the more herpetic ones are not.

Also a constant factor in Natrum mur. patients is their invariable complaint of a sensation of dryness in all their mucous membranes. Their lips feel dry, their mouths feel dry, very often they complain of a hot dry throat; and it is quite common for these patients to suffer from a chronic atrophic pharyngitis.

They are mostly susceptible to acute colds, acute coryzas, and they may have a susceptibility to acute attacks of hay fever. The discharge of all the mucous membranes of Natrum mur. is white-a white, discharge just like white of egg. This is a distinguishing point from Natrum carb., in which the discharges are yellow.
