Chill Fever Sweat

      Chill: it attacks mostly evenings; on left side, which feels cold to the touch; after 12 P.M. and in the morning, without thirst; internal, with external heat and violent thirst; then sweat.

Heat : mornings, chills afternoons; evenings, mostly in face; dry of covered parts; burning, in the the face, without redness.

Sweat : only on covered parts; general, except the head; when walking in the morning, mostly on the head; during sleep, stops when he awakens; oily, fetid, smelling sweat.

Tissues

Relationship

      Thuja follows well after : Mercur., Nitr. ac. Complementary to Silicea

Thuja antidotes : abuse of tea; Mercur., Sulphur, Iodium, Nux vomica

Antidote to Thuja : Chamom., for nightly toothache; Coccul., for the fever; also, Camphor., Mercur., Pulsat., Sulphur.

Cinnab. is preferable for warts on prepuce.

Compare with Spigel., Coccinella (both in tic douleureux).

Asafoetida (nervous ailments from checked skin symptoms).

Ant. tart, develops the variola-pustule; Thuja. dries it up.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
