Mind

      Constant muttering to himself. Typhus.

Inclined to talk, laugh and be merry.

Undecided, shunning labor, but after beginning, works well.

Sensorium

      Vertigo when walking about; apyrexia of ague.

Inner Head

      Drawing pain in left temple while sitting, ceasing when walking and standing.

Needle-like stitches in left temple while sitting, ceasing when standing.

Violent tearing in occiput.

Pressure, with heaviness, in lower part of occiput.

Outer Head

      Head falls now to left, now to right side.

Eyes

      Aversion to light; stinging-burning in eyes.

Ears

      Drawing pain in external ear.

Nose

      Nosebleed; left side.

Face

      Hot and red.

Pimples on cheeks, alae nasi and corners of mouth.

Lower Face

      Upper lip cracked.

Teeth

      Feel dull; set on edge, as from acids when chewing food.

Mouth

Throat

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
