Tissues
Emaciation and debility from loss of fluids; upper parts wasted: lower limbs swollen. Ascites.
Glandular swellings.
Bones inflamed, mostly the ends; nocturnal bone pains. Sensation as if void of marrow. Softening; caries.
Contact Injuries etc.
The whole body feels bruised.
Touch :,, pressure:,. Scratching; Riding, Tight clothing; Soft parts feel painful to touch or pressure.
Skin
Skin dry and hot, especially that of the hands.
Biting-itching when becoming warm through the day.
Dark red blotches here and there.
Flesh in ridges, as if struck with a stick.
Urticaria, chronic cases.
Eruptions: humid suppurating; full of deep rhagades; breeding lice; itching violently; intertrigo raw places readily bleeding.
Vascular tumours. Naevus maternus.
Blood-boils. Boils which do not mature, but remain blue.
Ulcers: bleed and burn when dressed; tearing and itching at night, burning when touched, fistulous, with hard, red, shining, everted edges and inflammatory swelling of the affected parts; bleeding easily.
Stages and States
Often in old women; also persons of keen intellect, but of feeble muscular development; lean and predisposed to lung and hepatic affections.
Relationship
Complementary to Iodum.
Lycop. follows well after calcar. or Laches.
After Lycop are frequently indicated: Graphites Lachesis. Ledum Phosphor., Silicea
It is rarely advisable to begin the treatment of a chronic disease with Lyco.; it is better to give first another antipsoric remedy.
Lycop antidotes Cinchon.
Antidotes to Lycop., Aconite, Camphor., Caustic, Chamom., Graphit., Pulsat., also coffee.
