Sensations

      Sensations of dryness all over the body.

Skin

      Dryness of skin, not a trace of sweat.

Blood blisters. Erysipelas. Gangrene. Hard spots.

Sequelae of measles.

Sudden sinking away of variola pustules.

Measle eruption delays; tetanic rigors; skin cold, bluish; dysuria.

Scarlatina: with cold, blue, hippocratic face; rattling in throat; with hot breath hot sweat on forehead, child will not be covered.

Stages and States

      Irritable, weakly; blondes most affected.

Scrofulous children are most sensitive to Camphor.

Relationship

      Antidotes: Opium, Spir. nitr. dulc, Dulcam.

Camphor antidotes Canthar, Cuprum. Squilla In most other cases, the smelling of Camphor is not antidotal, but palliative, by producing the symptom “pain better while thinking of it.” See Camphor. aggravates the effect of Nitrum., and seems to be injurious if given after it.

Tea, coffee and lemonade do not interfere.

C. Hering
Hering got the degree of M. D. from the University of Wuezburg with highest honours. The theme of his thesis was "De'Medicina Futura" (The medicine of future). Hering left Germany for West Indies and finally arrived at Philadelphia in Jan, 1833. He established a homeopathic school at Allentown, Pennsylvania, commonly known as "Allentown Academy". Soon he became very popular as a physician. He is known as the 'Father of Homeopathy' in America.
