Generalities
Calomel produces catarrhal inflammation of the ear and is useful in eustachian catarrh and deafness. Inflammation with plastic exudates; peritonitis; meningitis; pleurisy; has a reabsorbent action. Pale mucous membranes. Biliousness; remittent bilious fevers. Pallor; flabby bloatedness. Pale scrofulous children, who have swelling of cervical and other glands. Dropsies due to combined renal and cardiac diseases esp. with jaundice. Biliary stasis.

Painful scalp.
Eyes
Rapid winking. Closure of lachrymal duct. Eyes; red, dry, gummy.
Ears
Closure of eustachian tubes. Membrana tympani retracted, thickened. Deafness; from every cold; of old age. Sudden fluttering.
Nose
Blows lumps of mucus from nose.
Face
Pallid.
Mouth
Tongue, indented; indurated; black. Constant flow of dark putrid saliva. Foetor oris.
Throat
Tonsils inflamed (right); better cold drinks. Dysphagia. Granular pharyngitis.
Stomach
Cyclic vomiting of infants.
Abdomen
Bloated, hot, painful. Acrid, grass-green diarrhoea of infants. Anus sore and burning. Hypertrophic cirrhosis of liver (use 1X).
Male
Acute inflammation of prostate; after suppressed gonorrhoea.
Respiratory
Slimy, pussy sputum. Pleurisy.
Skin
Flabby and ill nourished. Copper coloured eruptions.
Fever
Remittent bilious fevers. Sweatiness.
