SPHERE OF ACTION
Through the cerebro-spinal system it especially affects the serous membranes, striking down their functional power, so as to prevent the separation of effete principles from the serum, producing the various from of dropsy of the brain, thorax, peritoneum and cellular tissue, with which it is enrapport.
Also affects the mucous membrane of the digestive organs and kidneys, and skin.

Soporous sleep, with screaming and starting.
Shocks pass through the brain like electricity.–JAHR.
Forehead drawn in folds, and covered with cold perspiration.
Squinting, pupils dilated.
Face pale and puffed.

Chewing motion of the mouth.–RAUE.
Frequent rubbing of the nose.
