Through the cardiac plexus, this remedy affects the muscular walls of the arteries, so as to constringe their capillaries to a wonderful degree; affecting more especially those of the genito- urinary organs, and the mucous membrane of the colon and rectum.
It is a splendid remedy for active hemorrhages, and for many diseases of the kidneys and bladder.
