To discover these hidden causative factors may be almost an impossible task, and many means or methods are necessary, at times, to bring out the acknowledgment necessary for obtaining such knowledge.
A NEW LEASE ON LIFE. At the time of the first surgical work in about 1940, no biopsy was done. I found a mass about the size of an indoor baseball in the area of the transverse colon, and another in the illeocaecal area. There were no other lumps or masses found anywhere in the body. Uraemic convulsions, headache, vertigo, loss of consciousness, especially when due to oedema of the brain, nephritis with pregnancy, and gastroenteritis of influenzal or other origins. chlorosis, bronchial asthma, with emphysema, enteroptosis and painful neurosis, especially when these conditions follow or are accompanied with convulsive, griping or cramping pains, especially in the abdomen or pelvis.
