The boy was pale, sickly and weak and had a few shotty glands in the neck. I had read in one of your papers that ringworm is cured by Tuberculinum bovinum, so seeing that constitutionally too T.B. was suspected, I gave one powder of Tub. bov. 200. I saw the case after 15 days and found that the ringworm was half cured.
The records of cases which follow these introductory remarks are given with the object of showing what homeopathy can do in case where there seems to be nothing for the patient but the surgeons knife. Enquiries made some months later reported that there had been no more trouble with the neck.
There would, perhaps, be no objection to the medical professions obtaining a monopoly of treatment if the orthodox treatments were safe and reliable. They are nothing of the kind, and Parliament and the nation will probably once more oppose with scorn and determination the attempts of the great medical trade union to destroy every alternative of treatment by means of a Bill with a cunningly worded and misleading title.
The first doctor I had as a child was a homoeopath in Dublin, fifty-five years ago, and I have always believed in Homoeopathy, but unfortunately never tried to study it until lately, though I have had Dr. Ruddocks book for the past twelve years, and remember curing myself of pneumonia with Aconite and Bryonia, and of a very bad attack of sciatica with the same remedies taken alternatively every hour for two days.
