We find no remedy unimportant, and frequently conclude that we have failed to exhaust the complete riches of the most important. We may read into them all those powers which verify themselves within the range of our comprehension.
This actuality of a system of medicine that permeates where drugging, mechanistic therapy, vaccination, serology, Freudism, are also rife, widespread, and falsely rated-the actuality of homoeopathy is to be remarked. It dominates a world of its own. Homoeopathy has no sympathy with the “new discoveries” that are promptly out dated.
The biblical estimate for the age of man is not reached today in the case of many important figures in all walks of life. Instead of three-score years and ten, the number may be anywhere from forty to sixty-five. And this fact is verified so repeatedly in the news that the assertions of longevity through medical science seem ironic.

Knowledge of drug effects, tonic, tolerated, and reactionary, informs us of the results to be expected from such habits. Furthermore, we know in detail of a finer-line syndrome manifested by sensitive patients who are peculiarly susceptible to a given medicine. Attention is being repeatedly called to the untoward effects of drugs on sensitive organisms, and the conclusion advanced that such are due to personal idiosyncrasy.
The subcutaneous test for tuberculosis, it is good to learn, has been generally dropped. In the digesters view it is distinctly dangerous as likely to light up quiescent focus, as appeared in a case quoted in a former batch of “digests”. It is also now known, Thompson says, that sensitivity to tuberculin bears no definite relation to present disease. Patients in the last stages of lung infection often entirely lose their sensitivity to tuberculin.

It has been said that Ruta symptoms are difficult to classify in the repertory. If true, so much the worse for the repertory, but not for Ruta. Which is the more important, the repertory or Ruta? It certainly does depend thorough what channel we arrive at the result if that result is to be right.
The exacting pharmacopoeia of homoeopathy precludes any temporizing with makeshifts. It matters not at all that these latter are what do count enormously in other circles, they do not count with the homoeopathist, or with any relation to ultimate cure. The jargon of trade insures their wide popularity elsewhere, that is, with definite majority which does not exclude large classes in licensed medicine.
