E H Bredenberg THE iris shows not only the signs of different diseases and injuries, but demonstrates also the existence of harmful substances in the body. There are many other drugs which alter the colour of the iris, such as bromide, carbolic acid, boracic, digitalis, etc. All these leave a peculiar mark on the coloured portion of the eye.
IRIS DIAGNOSIS. It is possible for organs or parts of the body which are diseased or injured to spread their signs beyond their ordinary limits, over places where other healthy organs or parts have their corresponding nerves. If the iris is one unbroken blue, the owner is a perfectly healthy person who has never suffered from any illness, poisons or accidents.
As surely as the eyes mirror the soul, so surely do they reflect bodily suffering, injury and ill-health.A man may look the picture of health and yet be suffering from some incurable trouble. Another man may have alarming symptoms which are of no particular significance. Iris diagnosis obviates serious diagnostic mistakes.
