      Green iodide of mercury. (HgI). Triturations, which should be protected from the light. MERCURIUS PROTOIODATUS acts especially upon the mucous glands of the throat. The right tonsil is most affected. It has been most used for follicular tonsillitis and in chronic catarrh of the posterior nares. An indication for its employment is a thick, dirty yellow coating at the base of the tongue (chin., sulph.), especially in the morning.

Edwin Awdas Neatby founded the Missionary School of Homeopathy and the London Homeopathic Hospital in 1903, and run by the British Homeopathic Association. He died in East Grinstead, Sussex, on the 1st December 1933.
