Homeopathic remedies for the symptoms of Lips from A Dictionary of Domestic Medicine by John H.Clarke….


–The lips are subject to become sore, cracked, dry, and scaly, or swollen, sometimes in connection with cold sometimes independently.

General Treatment.–The best application for sore lips, in a general way, is Vaseline, to be applied at bedtime. Also Lanoline Cold Cream.

Medicines.–(Every four hours.)

Natrum mur. 6.

–Sore lips from cold; “cold blisters;” crack in the centre of the lips; swelling of upper lip.

Arsen. 3.

–Scurfiness or rawness round the red of the lips.

Hepar 6.

–Swelling of the upper lip.

John Henry Clarke MD (1853 – November 24, 1931 was a prominent English classical homeopath. Dr. Clarke was a busy practitioner. As a physician he not only had his own clinic in Piccadilly, London, but he also was a consultant at the London Homeopathic Hospital and researched into new remedies — nosodes. For many years, he was the editor of The Homeopathic World. He wrote many books, his best known were Dictionary of Practical Materia Medica and Repertory of Materia Medica
